Just wondering if anyone here has invested in a tire changer and if their services are available. I have a new bun for the 907 and I hate taking it to a shop. But I'll probably take it to Performance tomorrow if I don't hear anything. I just hate waiting a day to get it back. It's like I'm missing my dog or something.

yep ive got one, and a balancer but i dont have any weights or rim protectors so its up to you, that and im waaaaaaaaaay the hell down in kalamazoo, so it would more than likely cost you the same in gas as i could save you in mounting them.
ill be doing them for 25 a set or 15 a tire. if they are unmounted at this point in the game.

How well does that one work Wolf?
Is it easy to damage the paint?
I tried to take one of my Interceptor's tires of a long time ago. What a fiasco. I ended up having to cut it off!! It was a mess. But I was just using tire irons and the bead was too strong!

My method to take on/off tires:
1: Break bead w. Flat shovel
2: Use 3 tire irons - the long ones
3: Use Old laundry detergent bottles that are cut up as rim protectors
4: Don't get greedy, go a few inches at a time
5. Repeat for the other side
I can remove and mount a tire in 10-15mins.
It takes me longer mounting the wheels back on the bike.
**notice I didn't include balancing. I will do this for the front, but w. the rear I go through them quick and I just don't care. Many years w. out balancing the rear and it's all good

like anything it's about technique, but it does make changing tires alot easier. Take your time getting the technique down and you wont have any issues with paint removal.
