100% noob goodness joining up from Grand Rapids. My buddy Mac (Ronald McDonald-looking F4i guy) inspired and assisted me in purchasing my first bike on May 24. It's a modest (read: ugly and old) beginning, but I'm now the owner of a 1988 600 F hurricane. In the pic the rims look orange, but they're stock red. Sorry, cell phone pic.

So far it's a blast, but it also scares the dooks outta me! I've taken a few short "supervised" rides here and there, mostly learning the ropes and working on getting past the sensory overload of riding. I can definitely see why people build entire lifestyles around these things.

That is super clean looking for a 20 year old bike. Welcome.

I'll admit that it looks good for its age, but zip ties and epoxy are doing their part on this one for sure! Come winter it'll go one of two ways - full plastic restoration, or it's getting 'fightered. The Hurricane's frame lends itself to the overall look pretty well.

Thanks for the welcoming everybody!
