I had a motorcyclist going down 96 west with a full Jacket and a big letter R on the back riding right inbetween vehicles causing me to slam on the brakes. watching him in front of me about 10 cars ahead and he manages to cut inbetween all of them. some people like that make other people or cops look for reasons to pull over someone that has the logo. just trying to give a heads up. hope everyone drives safer then that this summer and hope to ride and meet some of the members. busatroll :angdrag

You are right they should represent them selves better, who ever it was. But really what do you want them to do? A guy at work is in the Ruff Ryders and I think he said there are over 60 members now. You want the president to spend all his time monitoring peoples riding or trying to figure who to yell at about some here say? I get your point but, but really its their reputation........not yours.

i heard that JUNIOR 636, the rider represents himself as an individual. but on the other hand people will associate what that guy did w/ the club he's involved in too....so i guess its up to the riders discretion

shocked to know that such a organized well known group of riders would allow idiot drivers like the one that i encountered on 96 going west what an idiot driving within inches while going inbetween lanes, what an idiot, should check your group of riders.....Was he wearing a vest and what kind of bike was it and what color I will check into it

Oh screw off. I do it.
If ABATE would quit fucking around with trying to abolish the helmet law and do something productive like push to pass laws that actually help motorcycle riders, I might give them some money.
Nothing wrong with lane splitting/sharing if it is done safely. 8)

It is hard to police members we all do stupid things from speeding to cutting cars. I am not saying it is rite but we all do it in some way or other. Ya gr is probly really close to 60 members.

Busatroll... calming down might be a good idea. I think most of us can agree that the guy was prolly being an a**, but most of us ride like that at one point in time, so passing judgment really doesn't work...carefully would be the key word...

Hey Busatrol I'm not quite sure I know who you are or if we have ever meet but I would love to meet up with you some time just to talk for 1 ya you do have some people that make mistakes when it comes to riding bikes I'm sure we all have for the most part I consider myself a very safe rider. To come here and complain online about a group take it up in person because I'm sick or bad mouthing over the internet its childish.

Busatroll,
For one, I think most people would take you more seriously and listen to you if you didn't call certain people f*in idiots.
For two, what day was this? Were there other R's riding?
Even though we have all done stupid things while riding, sometimes things do need to be addressed on safety and awareness to members.
I'm not saying I agree or disagree with you, but your complaint (minus the f*in idiot comments) is heard and will be brought up.

Don't judge a group by one rider. I did see a rider that topped that the other day. He was riding an RC-51 with basketball shorts, tennis shoes, a helmet and that's it. Oh and it was raining. The day we had that huge storm, it was during it!

I dont agree with repremanding a group on the internet by one riders mistake. but I do understand that when you wear a patch and you do something "wrong" it affects the whole group.
just think back to the 70's every rider was a hells angel in the publics eye
